Mike's Ono Poke Recipe
Poke (Po - kee) is a Hawiian favorite of mine. It is fast, simple and tasty. You can substitute any fresh fish or seafood, but I like ahi da best.
| Ingredients: |
1/2 Pound Ahi (Sushi Grade) Two Tablespoons Shoyu (Soy Sauce) One Medium Clove Minced Garlic 1/4 Cup Minced Sweet Onion One Tablespoon Sesame Seeds Pinch of Hawaiian Salt (or sea salt) |
4 Minced Green Onions (scallions) One Tablespoon Sesame Oil One Tablespoon Furikake (Rice Seasoning found in Asian markets) Oyster Sauce
|
Cut ahi into 1/2 inch cubes. Mix together all the other ingredients. Pour over ahi and mix well. Cover and let flavors blend in refrigerator for about an hour. Now your pau (done) time to grind (eat).
Here is my dog Haole. Send me a photo of your pet and you might make it in the next newsletter!! Aloha!
